Bay View Golf Club, previously named Summitpointe Golf Club, originally named Tularecitos Golf Club, is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Milpitas, California.
The course first opened for play in 1978.
The course was re-developed in 2020 as Bay View Golf Club with the goal of becoming the premier golf destination for Silicon Valley.
The culmination of a series of multi-million dollar investments and a vision to build the modern golf course and facility, Bay View Golf Club is perched above the Milpitas Hills with sweeping views of the South Bay Area, the Peninsula… and the Bay!
Bay View is nestled in the foothills of Milpitas overlooking a great view of the south bay. The Club offers a private club experience at a public golf value. Measuring 6,331 yards from the back tees with a slope of 71.3, this championship 18-hole course will challenge and delight all golfers with a combination of hills, water hazards, and undulating greens. The course's best stretch of holes are laced through a grassy canyon, starting at #11 (once voted a member of the Bay Area's "Dream 18"), and continuing up to the fabulous signature hole, #16, a1 99-yard, par 3, which calls for a tee shot downhill over a water hazard and into a prevailing wind.
The front nine is hilly, so expect some uneven lies. However, the fairways are somewhat open compared to the narrower ones on the back nine. The terrain on the back nine is flat, but water hazards come into play on some holes. The greens are fast and slightly sloped. Water hazards come into play throughout the course.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,331 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,496 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 528 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays 122 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 401-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Bay View is # 3, a 122 yard par-3.

I joined a small tournament to play at Summitpointe. First time I had played there in many years. Pretty much the same experience. Some good holes, some kind of weird holes. Some of the fairways barely had any grass on them but we are in the midst of a bad drought and courses are prohibited from watering but it seems some other courses are doing a better job of managing this. The course is in the foothills and it is hard on many holes to get a decent/flat lie no matter how good of a shot you hit. That is the primary knock I have heard over and over again about this course. It was a good group of guys so it was a good day but I wouldn't go out of my way to play here.

On Weds. they give you 18 holes, cart and hotdog at the turn for 25$ Its a steal. Greens are not level along with the fairways. Tough course. The Greater the challange, the better the reward. Par from the tips are like a birdy at a muni. The staff is the best at what they do. In the pro shop, ask for John,,,,He's the BEST

ball marks all over the greens you repair yours and five others at each green, marshalls do not react to slow play

The course was chewed up with large ruts from equipment. It had been over watered and then driven on. The pace of play was awful-5 1/2 hours to finish. Marshall was unavailable to push the slow pokes. Terrible experience!

The course can be very difficult if you haven't played it. Everything slopes; tee boxes, fairways and greens. Once you know the slope it's kind of fun. The back nine is very tight. Holes 12 - 16 are right on top of each other. There's a lot of cross fire between fairways. Bring a hard hat. Overall once you've played it a few times the course is fun.

Good challenging course for a 15-24 handicap. Will test your putting skills and course management. Always aim towards the hill when use your driver or 3 wood. The ball will go down safe on the middle of the fairway. If you play a lot here, you will beat your friends. Have fun!!!

The greens were difficult in that the ball would frequently not stop near the hole (i.e. an uphill put that did not hole out would roll back to or through the fringe). I frequently looked around the course and saw groups on the green clustered near the low edge trying to get their putts back to the hole. This made for a 6 hour round and frequent waiting. Other than that i found the course to be an interesting challenge. It was somewhat tight in areas and very playable for shorter hitters.

Fast, sloping greens. Some tight sloping fairways. Driver not needed on every hole. Nice views of Santa Clara valley.

Heard greens were unfair, don't think so.

Funky course. Did not particulary care for the front nine, back nine was a much better layout.

On Tuesday they have a lunch included deal that can't be beat. Fast greens and lots of slope. Hardly a level lie to be found but the greater the challenge the better the reward.
